<div>Sat 9/26 – Seadrift</div><div> </div><div>I hosted two gentlemen from Central Texas on a last-minute trip, and we went out with one simple mission: catch whatever would bite. And boy, did we!</div><div> </div><div>These guys weren’t out for a meat haul — this trip was about the experience. We loaded up with three dozen live shrimp and four dozen croaker before heading out under a cool, calm Saturday morning sky. A northeast wind slowly gave way to a southern breeze, as is typical here after a front.</div><div> </div><div>The water had a little off-color tint, but it was definitely fishable. No major freshwater inflow from the Guadalupe, so the northern country looked perfect. The only thing missing early was the fish’s appetite — the morning bite was quiet. But today wasn’t about numbers.</div><div> </div><div>And then it happened.</div><div> </div><div>Everything you could imagine came to play: ladyfish, alligator gar, redfish, speckled trout, stingray and just about everything in between.
